by Daniel Gubalane on Jul 24, 2015

Here’s a trend with Xiaomi smartphones – each time a new model is released here in the Philippines, the price of the model before it receives a price drop.

This happened with the Redmi 1S and now, the Redmi 2 since Xiaomi Philippines has already launched the Xiaomi Mi 4i in the country. From ₱5,999, it’s now available for ₱5,499!

The Xiaomi Redmi 2 is an upgraded version of the Redmi 1S with the 4.7-inch HD same screen and 8MP camera but better processor and connectivity.

It uses the Snapdragon 410 chipset with a quad core 64-bit CPU running at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM and 4G LTE connectivity for its two SIM card slots.

A 2,200mAh battery powers the Xiaomi Redmi 2 but just like other Xiaomi phones, there are no earphones included in the package.
