MyPhone Infinity 2 Full Phone Specifications, Official Price and Features

by Daniel Gubalane on May 19, 2015

MyPhone has finally launched its 2015 flagship smartphone, the MyPhone Infinity 2, touting a metallic body and improved specs compared to last year’s version.

Just as the leaked flyer showed, it has a 5-inch AMOLED screen, 64-bit octa core processor, 2GB of RAM, 4G LTE connectivity and dedicated LED flash for both the front and rear cameras.

The Aluminum body of the MyPhone Infinity 2 makes it more robust and elegant. It also prevents the handset from overheating unlike those with plastic shells. However, it also keeps the battery from the user’s reach.

On the front is the 720p AMOLED display that should consume less power compared to the usual LED backlit LCD displays. Colors are more vibrant while black colors register as true black, not grayish.

Furthermore, a layer of scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the screen. This makes the MyPhone Infinity 2 protected on the front as well as by the aluminum body at the back and sides.

The MyPhone Infinity 2 uses a MediaTek MT6752M chipset composed of eight (8) ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores all running at a maximum of 1.5GHz and a dual core Mali-T760 graphics renderer.

There’s 2GB of RAM to preserve the smooth operation even when a lot of apps are opened. The operating system is still Android 4.4.4 Kitkat which is smooth enough but a Lollipop update, if possible, is more desirable.

It also comes with 16GB of on-board storage space while the second SIM slot doubles as a microSD slot capable of reading up to 64GB memory cards.

The MyPhone Infinity 2 has a 13MP camera at the back and a 5MP snapper on the front. Both are coupled with an LED flash – great for using the front camera to take selfies in low light conditions.

It can connect to the 4G LTE networks of both Smart and Globe while other connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS are all included. A 2,450mAh battery powers the device.

However, the MyPhone Infinity 2 is a bit pricey at ₱12,799.00 compared to bang for the buck smartphones such as the Zenfone 2 from Asus, OneTouch Flash Plus from Alcatel and A7000 from Lenovo.
