Smart Pocket Wi-Fi: You Might Not Really Need It!

Use Your Phone or Laptop as Wi-Fi Hotspot

If you already have a SmartBro stick, you can already turn your laptop into a Wi-Fi hotspot. You can also buy a SmartBro stick instead of a Pocket Wi-Fi and save ₱1,000.

No SmartBro Stick? No problem, use your phone. Yes, your Android phone can serve as a Wi-Fi hotspot too. SmartBro promos also apply to Smart Buddy SIM’s so you can enjoy unlimited internet connection.

If these gadgets can already serve the purpose of a Pocket Wi-Fi, why would you spend ₱2,000?

Why You Might Still Need a Pocket Wi-Fi…

Using your phone or laptop as a Wi-Fi hotspot might sound easy and convenient but sadly, it has disadvantages too.

Your laptop isn’t very portable like a Pocket Wi-Fi. You can’t carry it around in your pocket unlike a ‘Pocket Wi-Fi’.

If you choose using your phone, check if it has HSPA+ capability. A mobile internet connection lesser than that is too slow to share. Furthermore, it will also drain your phone’s battery quickly.

Will You Opt for a Pocket Wi-Fi?

If you want a portable Wi-Fi hotspot that you can rely on 24 hours a day, you should use a Pocket Wi-Fi.

However, if you just want a Wi-Fi hotspot when you need it, you can save a lot by using your laptop or smartphone. It will even make you look cool!

This article has received a lot of comments saying that it is a stupid review. Well, I’m just giving my opinion and presenting an alternative to those who need a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot but don’t have a lot of cash to buy a Pocket Wi-Fi.
