A new software update that’s now available to download for Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro users adds a Dual View camera mode to these smartphones.

It allows the user to shoot a single video from two cameras – the main camera and the telephoto camera. The result is a side by side view of the overall scene and a close up of the subject.

The Dual View camera mode also allows changing the zoom level in one of the video panels up to 15x zoom. However, the optimal zoom level is 5x while the video resolution is 1080p.

The software update is called EMUI 9.1.0.153 and comes at 579MB. Aside from the Dual View camera mode, it also adds security updates and a Huawei Vlog feature that automatically creates highlights in videos.
