Xiaomi is Officially Back in the Philippines with Smartphones and Smart Home Devices

Update: Mi Home PH is fake.

Xiaomi has officially made its comeback here in the Philippines. Aside from smartphones, the company is also bringing smart home devices such as TVs, air purifiers, smart scales and more.

It was in the middle of 2016 when Xiaomi has silently stopped operation in the country. Their online only strategy didn’t quite work with Filipinos who prefer to buy gadgets in physical stores.

Smart Home Devices

Xiaomi already have an official Facebook page: Mi Home PH. From the name alone, it’s clear that Xiaomi isn’t just bringing back their smartphones here in the Philippines.

They’ve launched several smart home devices in China. Several of these will make their way here in the country. In fact, an authorized retailer already sells Mi Pillows and Bluetooth Speakers with official warranty.

Official Xiaomi Stores

An official Xiaomi page on Lazada will soon be available. It’s not yet clear though if they will also open physical stores.

That might be what it will take to topple the dominance of fellow Chinese brands OPPO and Vivo in the country.
