Google has sent out invitations and made a teaser webpage for a supposedly new smartphone that it will launch on October 4, 2016.

This could be the leaked Pixel smartphone that’s rumored to replace the Nexus series. A new version of Chromecast which is capable of streaming 4k videos is also expected to show up in the event as well as the Daydream VR headset.

That’s the shape of a smartphone!

The Google Pixel smartphones will reportedly come in two variants – the Pixel and Pixel XL. Both will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM and a new version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 7.1 Nougat.
