What’s new with the Huawei Y6s?
The Huawei Y6s is an upgraded version of the Huawei Y6 Pro 2019. It has the same 6.09-inch HD+ display, 13MP rear camera, an 8MP selfie camera but with a more modern-looking overall design similar to the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019.
Its internal hardware also got an upgrade. It now runs on a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset with an octa-core CPU, 3GB of RAM, and EMUI 9.1 software out of the box. There’s also a fingerprint scanner, 64GB of expandable storage, and an improved loudspeaker.
The device is powered by a 3020mAh battery and charging is via a micro-USB 2.0 port.
What made the Huawei Y6s popular?
The number one reason for the popularity of the Huawei Y6s is its affordable price. Smartphones with a good set of features for a low price usually tops our rankings and this smartphone checks all the boxes.
Another important factor is the presence of official Google Apps on the Huawei Y6s. No installation or side-loading required, unlike the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.
The reception of Filipinos for the Huawei Y6s is similar to the Huawei P30 Pro. This is another evidence that Huawei can produce top-notch smartphone hardware but the software is equally important.
