by Daniel Gubalane on Jan 25, 2018

Samsung Electronics is set to officially unveil the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones on February 25, 2018 as part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2018).

The event’s invitation has the tagline, “The Camera. Reimagined.” Hence, we’re expecting new technologies for mobile photography.

Rumored Galaxy S9 and S9+ Features

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is rumored to feature a 5.8 inch Infinity Display, single rear camera with f/1.5 aperture and the top of the line Snapdragon and Exynos processors.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S9+ is said to have a larger 6.2 inch display, dual rear cameras and as much as 6GB of RAM.

Both smartphones will keep the glass and metal sandwich design of the current Galaxy phones. Thankfully, the awkwardly placed fingerprint sensor will be relocated below the rear camera.

Price and Availability

No official price have been rumored for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ yet. However, it will surely be more affordable than the Samsung Galaxy Note8.

Pre-orders will start a day after the event with the units shipping on March 16, 2018. That’s the schedule abroad though. Availability in the Philippines might be after another month.
