Blackberry announced the Blackberry Classic smartphone as the successor to the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Curve with its physical QWERTY keyboard and updated specs.

The Blackberry Classic is surely a hit for those who want a high end smartphone but also wants a physical keyboard with classic navigation buttons and a trackpad instead of a touchscreen keyboard.

The Blackberry Classic has a 3.5-inch square shaped touch screen display with a resolution of 720 x 720 pixels or 294 pixels per inch and a layer of scratch resistant Gorilla Glass 3 for protection.

Below the screen is a row of capacitive buttons with an optical trackpad at the center. The rest are four rows of the QWERTY keyboard that Blackberry fans are surely going to love.

Running the show is a combination of a 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, Adreno 225 graphics processor and 2GB of RAM. Of course, the Blackberry Classic runs on the BlackBerry 10 OS.

It has 4G LTE connectivity, dual band Wi-Fi with the capability to create a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, Miracast wireless display and NFC support.
