SKK Marian V1 ‘Quad Core Phone Named After Marian Rivera’ Specs, Price and Features

by Daniel Gubalane on May 09, 2014

SKK released a smartphone bearing the name of GMA’s primetime queen Marian Rivera hoping to attract more consumers with Marian’s fame.

The SKK Marian V1 comes with a 1.3GHz quad core chip from MediaTek, 8MP camera and 5-inch display. However, its screen resolution is way too low at 854 x 480 pixels only and even has a mere 512MB of RAM.

Despite its shortcomings, the SKK Marian V1 is still a likeable smartphone specially that it has a promo price of only ₱2,299! That’s only for the first 50 buyers on July 26 at SM Bacoor though. The next 50 will have to pay ₱3,680 while its official suggested retail price is ₱4,599.00.

SKK Marian runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and has 4GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. It also has the usual features like dual SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and FM Radio.

There’s a free smartcase and for every purchase of the SKK Marian. It also comes pre-loaded with exclusive Marian Rivera videos and pictures. What do you think – is this smartphone worth it?
