Torque Droidz QuadTorque finally released their first quad core smartphone, Torque Droidz Quad. Aside from the cool name, Droidz Quad also has some cool specs. But is it enough to compete with other cheap smartphones in the Philippines today?

Processor, OS and Memory

Torque Droidz Quad is of course, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor from MediaTek to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. However, it only has 512 MB of RAM which makes resource intensive games lag. But Temple Run 2 and Candy Crush will run smoothly with that RAM.

Torque Droidz Quad comes with 4 GB of internal storage but can be expanded up to 32 GB using a micro SD card.

Display and Camera

Torque Droiz Quad has an 8 MP camera at the back with single LED flash. It’s front camera might disappoint you since it’s only a VGA shooter.

The display of Torque Droidz Quad comes at a comfortable size of 4.5″ with a resolution of 854×400 Pixel. It’s not really that much but it’s enough for that screen size. It’s also multi-touch enabled letting you zoom in by pinching.

Connectivity, Sensors and Battery

Torque Droidz Quad has all the essential connectivity features like WiFi and WiFi hotspot, 3G, Bluetooth GPS and FM Radio. It’s battery is above average at 1,850 mAh.

It also has essential sensors like ambient light, proximity and a 3-axis gyro.

Price, Warranty and Availability

Torque Droidz Quad is one of the cheapest quad core smartphones in the country right now. With a price tag of only ₱5,999.00, it’s already a good deal.

This deal comes with 1 year warranty for the phone and 6 months for the accessories.

Torque Droidz Quad is out now in the market. Try it for yourself at any Torque concept store or kiosk all over the country.
