Good news for Globe and TM subscribers! The telco has extended its Free Facebook offering until May 15, 2015. However, you’ll have to be enrolled in one of its promos to avail of the free Facebook access.

Globe has also announced a partnership with Internet.org. It’s an initiative led by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg that provides free mobile access to several popular websites. Smart, Sun Cellular and TNT subscribers are already enjoying Internet.org.

Globe Extends Free Facebook Promo

Its Free Facebook program has increased Globe’s revenue from mobile data subscriptions. By providing free access to Facebook, Globe has opened the eyes of its subscribers to the wonders of using mobile data instead of relying on Wi-Fi.

On the other hand, Internet.org will play nicely with this new setup. If you’re enrolled in a Globe promo, you can access the full features of Facebook for free. If not, the stripped down version of Facebook from Internet.org is still a good deal. Internet.org’s free Facebook doesn’t show pictures but allows you to use the Facebook Messenger with all its features!

Globe says it has surprise additions to the websites that you can access using Internet.org when the program is officially launched.
