TRANSSION is still the number 1 smartphone vendor in the Philippines in the second quarter of 2026 according to technology research and advisory group OMDIA.

It is composed of the brands TECNO, Infinix and itel which many firms consider as one group in these rankings. The drop in shipments of entry level smartphones (below 6K) was observed but with an increase in slightly pricier models (below 12K).

TRANSSION had a 33% market share.

In second place is Xiaomi with 22% market share. The same phenomenon was observed with the brand including Redmi models.

Samsung got the third place with a 16% market share which is a drop in the brand’s ranking. Nevertheless, the research group noted its successful strategy in re-pricing its entry-level models.

These observations were for the larger Southeast Asian smartphone market but largely reflects the local situation here in the Philippines.

In fourth place is HONOR which enjoyed the successful release of its new midrange models especially the HONOR 600 series.

Finally in fifth place is OPPO which showed the steepest decline according to the research group.
