This is the vivo X200 FE smartphone in Black Luxe color.
I have been using the vivo X200 FE for a couple of weeks and three key features immediately caught my attention:
Ahead of my full review next week, here’s a closer look at what makes the vivo X200 FE arguably the best compact flagship smartphone in the Philippines right now.
The vivo X200 FE combines premium materials with a truly compact form. It easily slips into small pockets or purses and it’s comfortable enough for one-handed use even for long periods.
The flat metallic sides with color-matched antenna lines are reminiscent of iPhones. But flip it around and vivo’s unique aesthetic shines through.
The rear features a large camera island housing two ZEISS-branded lenses, an ultrawide camera and a signature Aura Light.
Some might find the 6.3-inch display small by today’s standards but for fans of compact devices like me, it’s the perfect size. The higher pixel density even makes videos and photos appear sharper.
The screen itself is bright even under the noontime sun. It can reach up to 1800nits outdoors and HDR videos support up to 5000nits of peak brightness! It also has ZEISS Color Master Display technology for more vivid colors, sharp 1.5K resolution and advanced eye protection.
One of the most impressive features of the vivo X200 FE is its 50MP ZEISS super telephoto camera. It uses a trapezoidal prism design that enables powerful zoom without making the phone bulky.
The camera app includes zoom shortcuts at 2x, 3x, and 10x, and it can go all the way up to 100x. At extreme zoom levels, AI kicks in to enhance clarity, sharpen details, and even make faraway text legible.
This is especially useful for taking pictures in concerts, festivals, or similar events.
The vivo X200 FE has ZEISS Multifocal Portrait for shooting impressive portraits. It comes with presets that start from 23mm “landscape portrait” to 50mm “classic portrait” up to 100mm “close-up”.
There are different ZEISS lens bokeh effects to choose from and several photo styles for more artistic expressions.
It also comes with AI Image Studio which is a suite of different AI capabilities to enhance your imaging experience. There’s the usual object eraser and the new AI Magic Move that allows you to reposition the subject in the image, AI Image Expander and AI Reflection Eraser.
Some compact versions of flagship smartphones tend to have a slower processor than the bigger versions. That’s not the case with the vivo X200 FE. It is using the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset and comes with 12GB of physical RAM.
The result is smooth performance in day-to-day tasks as well as in playing resource-intensive games. I had a lot of fun playing Call of Duty Mobile with this smartphone.
Aside from the powerful performance, the vivo X200 FE is also equipped with a 6500mAh BlueVolt battery! That’s a lot of battery capacity for a compact and handy smartphone.
It lasts two days on my normal usage with just a single charge. I can play CODM continuously for 6 hours too.
Recharging the phone is also quick thanks to the 90W fast charging technology. It reaches full charge in 58 minutes only.
With these three key features, the vivo X200 FE is the compact smartphone to beat in the Philippines right now. There are alternatives from other brands but they either have less powerful performance, less capable cameras or shorter battery life.
The vivo X200 FE is a compact smartphone that looks premium, functions smoothly, equipped with powerful cameras and lasts a long time with its high-density battery.
It is now available in vivo stores and authorized dealers as well as online via the vivo website for ₱44,999.
