The vivo Y29 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor with 8GB of physical RAM and up to 8GB of extended RAM. This is a proven chipset for casual gaming.
In my tests, it runs Mobile Legends in high graphics quality by default with a smooth and stable performance. Increasing the graphics quality to Ultra results in a few frame drops during team fights, but still a smooth overall gaming experience.
Meanwhile, Call of Duty, which is more resource-intensive, runs at medium graphics quality by default. I prefer playing CODM battle royale at a higher framerate and changing its graphics quality to low results in an average framerate of 39.9 FPS.
To complete the gaming experience, the vivo Y29 has a 6.68-inch HD+ display with 120Hz of maximum screen refresh rate. It’s large and bright for gaming and renders smooth visuals for the user interface.
Then there’s its stereo loudspeakers which produces spatial audio for CODM at up to 400% volume! It’s loud enough so you can play without earphones and still hear enemies sneaking up behind you.
Aside from its gaming and battery features, the vivo Y29 also has durability certifications and AI capabilities.

For AI or artificial intelligence, the vivo Y29 supports Circle to Search with Google, AI Photo Enhance, and AI Erase. Both AI image editing features can be easily accessed in the Albums and works pretty well in erasing unwanted objects and enhancing blurry images.
The vivo Y29 has an official price of ₱8,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant and ₱10,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant. Both variants have expandable storage up to 2TB through a microSD card.
