The new Sony WF-1000XM4 TWS (read as WF-1000X Mark 4) has been officially launched today.

It boasts a smaller size compared to the Mark 3 but with better audio quality, noise-canceling, and other features. It now supports Speak-to-Chat and high-resolution wireless audio with LDAC codec.

The Sony WF-1000M4 is powered by an Integrated Processor V1 chip. It uses two noise-canceling microphones in each earphone and a new earbud tip material for noise canceling.

It supports wireless high-resolution audio using LDAC codec with a maximum data transfer rate of 990kbps. There’s also an upscaling feature called DSEE Extreme for low-resolution audio especially streaming services.

The Speak-to-Chat feature of the Sony WF-1000M4 automatically pauses music when the user talks. This allows conversations without the need to take out the earphones.

It also has a bone conduction sensor and beamforming microphones for improves call quality. Add the noise canceling capability and calls become ultra-clear.

The Sony WF-1000M4 earphones each have an 8-hour battery life with an additional 16-hour capacity in the charging case. It supports Qi wireless charging, Google Fast Pair, and Microsoft Swift Pair.

It will be available in the Philippines soon in two color options – black and silver.
