OPPO became the number 1 smartphone manufacturer in Southeast Asia in the second quarter of 2020.

This is according to Counterpoint Research, a global industry analytics firm. The company secured a 20.3% market share in the region despite the logistical challenges and declining market brought by the pandemic.

Next to OPPO is Samsung with 19.5% market share, Vivo with 17.9%, Xiaomi with 14.0% and Realme with 12.8% market share.

OPPO’s biggest markets are the Philippines and Indonesia. During the second quarter of 2020, OPPO released the Reno3 series in the Philippines as well as the more affordable A92, A52, and A12 models.
