As if two or three cameras are not enough, Huawei silently launches a smartphone with four cameras in Malaysia – the Huawei Nova 2i.

It has a 16.0 + 2.0 Megapixel dual camera system on the back and a 13.0 + 2.0 Megapixel dual selfie camera system on the front. Hence, it’s a quad camera smartphone!

Aside from having quad cameras, the Huawei Nova 2i stands out from other Huawei smartphones with its FullView display – a 5.9-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio and narrow bezels all around in a metallic body.

It runs on an octa core Kirin 659 processor with 4GB of RAM and the EMUI 5.1 software on top of Android 7.0 Nougat. Some nice extras like NFC and dual band Wi-Fi are present too.

A 3340mAh battery powers the device with 5V/2A charging.

Price and Availability

The Huawei Nova 2i has an official price of RM1299 in Malaysia. That’s less than ₱16,000.00 when converted based on current rates!

However, there’s no official news yet whether this will make its way here in the Philippines. The release in Malaysia is a good sign though.

Update (October 10, 2017): The Huawei Nova 2i has been officially launched in the Philippines with an official price of ₱14,990.00 only!
