Kingston Announces 2TB Flash Drive with USB 3.1 Technology

Need a lot of storage space for your files on the go? Kingston has the solution – the world’s first 2TB flash drive called Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate GT.

It even comes with USB 3.1 technology for fast file transfers and a shock resistant zinc alloy casing for protection. The only quirk is, it’s not sleek enough at a little over 2 centimeters thick.

So, just how much can you store in a 2TB flash drive? Kingston’s Storage Chart estimates more than half a million pictures from a 12 Megapixel camera, half a million mp3 songs or almost 4 days of HD videos.

If your job or hobby requires this storage capacity, the Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate GT is just perfect. Just don’t lose it by accident.

The Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate GT will be available starting on February 2017 in 2TB and 1TB variants with a 5-year warranty. The price hasn’t been revealed yet though.
