ASUS Philippines has finally announced the availability of the ASUS ZenFone 3 Laser here in the country more than a month after the ZenFone 3 launch.
It’s a photography-centric smartphone featuring a second generation laser autofocus technology. This enables it to focus on a subject in merely 0.03 seconds resulting in sharp pictures without lags.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Laser is enclosed in a metallic body although a small camera bump is present at the back. There are two colors available – silver and gold.
It runs on a quad core Snapdragon 430 processor from Qualcomm, 4GB of RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow as the operating system. Needless to say, it’s a very capable smartphone.
Its display measures 5.5 inches diagonally and has a full HD resolution. It’s covered with a layer of scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with 2.5D curved edges. There’s even a blue light filter in place to prevent eye strain!

For photography, the ASUS ZenFone 3 Laser is equipped with a 13 Megapixel camera that uses an image sensor from Sony. There’s also deep trench isolation technology and a color correction sensor in addition to its second generation laser autofocus that all help to produce high quality pictures.
ASUS’ camera app, PixelMaster 3.0, also comes with several camera modes including a Super Resolution mode that allows the smartphone to capture 52 megapixel photos!
Its built-in storage for photos and other files is 32GB while a microSD card slot adds up to 128GB.
The ASUS ZenFone 3 Laser also boasts a 5-magnet speaker with an NXP Smart Amplifier technology that produces loud sound from its loudspeaker.
It’s powered by a 3000mAh non-removable battery, supports USB OTG and has a fingerprint sensor below its camera at the back.
The official price of the ASUS ZenFone 3 Laser in the Philippines is ₱11,995.00. It’s now available in several stores throughout the country.
