Even if you’re not a tech enthusiast, the Raspberry Pi 2 should still be very interesting with its compatibility with Windows 10, a quad core processor and very cheap price – $35 or around ₱1,500 only!

The Raspberry Pi 2 is a single board computer the size of a credit card with ports for USB, Ethernet, HDMI, microSD card and micro USB for a 5V power source.

The first Raspberry Pi was launched in 2012 and received a very positive feedback from tech enthusiasts, companies and the education sector. This and its successor, the Raspberry Pi Model B, ran on different versions of Linux.

What’s most interesting with the Raspberry Pi 2 is its support for the Windows 10 operating system which offers a more familiar user interface for regular users. Microsoft promises to release the version of Windows 10 for the Raspberry Pi 2 FOR FREE soon.

The Raspberry Pi 2 is powered by a Broadcom BCM2836 processor with a 900MHz quad core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU, VideoCore IV 3D GPU and a whole gigabyte of RAM.

Despite the Raspberry Pi 2 being the most powerful of the series, the Raspberry Foundation will still produce and sell the previous models as long as companies and individuals are buying it.

The different versions of the Raspberry Pi can be bought online if you are in the US or UK starting at $20 up to the $35 for the latest one. Some electronic shops and online shops sell the Raspberry Pi here in the Philippines for a slightly higher price such as RS Online and DMI Philippines.
