OPPO F5 Features Artificial Intelligence Beauty Recognition Technology

We’ve got official word from OPPO that the upcoming OPPO F5 smartphone will have an Artificial Intelligence or A.I. Beauty Recognition technology.

This will supposedly make selfies more ‘humanized’ unlike the fake looking faces produced by other selfie enhancing apps. It scans hundreds of facial recognition spot to differentiate men from women and babies from adults to apply the correct enhancements in skin tone and lighting.

Selfie Expert with AI

OPPO tags the OPPO F5 as ‘Selfie Expert’. These are smartphones that have special technologies applied to the front facing camera to capture good selfies.

However, it’s the first time that OPPO will use Artificial Intelligence for beautification. It’s another interesting application of AI and Machine Learning. As more and more selfies are taken by the OPPO F5, its AI Beautification will also improve by self-learning the best enhancements for different scenarios.

OPPO F5 Features

This is a hands on of the OPPO F5 smartphone.

Aside from AI Beauty Recognition Technology, the OPPO F5 will also be the company’s first smartphone with an 18:9 display and slim bezels.

Just like the recently announced Huawei Nova 2i, it has FHD+ resolution or 1080 x 2160 pixels. However, it only has a single front camera which is rumored to be a 16 Megapixel image sensor.

OPPO F5 Launch Date and Availability

OPPO Philippines will officially unveil the OPPO F5 on October 26, 2017. The event will feature several celebrities similar to what happened during the Star Magic Ball.

It will also be available in other countries in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and even India.
