If you’ve been itching to try digital TV using the ABS-CBN TV Plus but can’t find a store selling the item in your area, you should visit Lazada.
The online shopping site is now selling the “Mahiwagang Black Box” for its official price of ₱2,500. It will also be shipped for free wherever you are in the Philippines.

The ABS-CBN TV Plus is basically a receiver for the digital TV broadcast signal by ABS-CBN and other TV channels. Most of our TV sets only receive analog signals.
Digital TV transmission provides clearer video quality compared to analog signal. The Philippine government has mandated that all TV stations should move to digital by 2016.

Aside from ABS-CBN channel 2, ABS-CBN Sports and Action and other free digital TV channels, the receiver is also bundled with four exclusive channels including DZMM Teleradyo and Knowledge Channel.
However, ABS-CBN’s digital TV broadcast only is only available in Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Pangasinan, Benguet and Metro Cebu.
If you’re not in those areas, there’s no use for the ABS-CBN TV Plus for now.
