The ASUS ZenFone 3 is a 5.5-inch full HD smartphone running on an octa core Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB or 3GB of RAM, a 16 Megapixel camera and a fingerprint sensor.

It was launched during an event called Zenvolution held on May 30, 2016 in Taiwan. It’s the third major update of ASUS’ smartphone lineup following the original ZenFone and ZenFone 2.

For photography, the ASUSs ZenFone 3 is equipped with a 16 Megapixel camera at the back that boasts 4-axis optical image stabilization and a feature called ‘TriTech Autofocus’.

It’s essentially an automatic choice between laser, phase detection and continuous autofocus resulting in a precise focus in mere 0.3 seconds! This results in virtually no blurry photo.

The starting price for the ASUS ZenFone 3 is $249 which is a little under ₱12,000 based on current forex rates. This is for the version with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage.

However, there’s no news about the price of the 4GB RAM/64GB ROM version as well as when these will be released here in the Philippines. We’ll post updates soon…
