OPPO F7 with 25MP Front Camera and Notched Display Now Official in the Philippines

Celebrity endorsers Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto has officially unveiled the new OPPO F7 smartphone in the Philippines.

It features a 25 Megapixel front camera that uses Artificial Intelligence for beautification and a notched display similar to the iPhone X. Read on for the pre-order details and freebies.

While the OPPO F5 already features one of the highest resolution selfie camera at 20 Megapixels, the new OPPO F7 exceeds that with its 25 Megapixel selfie camera.

It still has the A.I. Beauty Technology but now with the ability to apply different enhancements based on gender – women look fairer while men become more masculine. There’s also hardware-based High Dynamic Range (HDR) for better low light performance.

I just wish the company added a dedicated front LED flash in addition to its screen flash function for taking selfies in pitch black environments.

Notched 19:9 FHD+ Display

The OPPO F7 follows the new trend of smartphones with notched screens. The aesthetics isn’t for everybody but it further increases the screen to body ratio of the device.

OPPO ensures that the notch is smaller than that of the iPhone X to fit more information and notifications icons. It also has a dedicated multi-tasking toggle and screenshot button.

The screen itself is an in-cell IPS LCD panel with 19:9 aspect ratio and FHD+ resolution or 1080×2280 pixels.

The OPPO F7 is one of the first smartphones running on the new 12nm MediaTek Helio P60 chipset. It has an octa core CPU with a maximum speed of 2.0GHz, Mali-G72 graphics processor and 4GB of RAM.

It comes with Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box with customizations from the company’s own ColorOS 5.0 skin.

Powering the device is a built-in 3400mAh battery.

Aside from a 25 Megapixel selfie camera, the OPPO F7 also sports a 16 Megapixel rear camera. Internal storage amounts to 64GB while a microSD card slot is present.

It’s a dual SIM smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity, Face Recognition and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Other sensors include a gyroscope and compass.
