Asus revealed another variant of its Zenfone 2 series of smartphones which is exclusive for the AT&T network in the United States – the Asus Zenfone 2E.

Just like previous Zenfones, it features Asus’ signature design with concentric circles and a tapered back. Its volume buttons are also found at the back below the camera and LED flash.

The Asus Zenfone 2E has a 5-inch HD screen, 8MP rear camera and a 2MP selfie snapper on the front. Both cameras benefit from the company’s PixelMaster photo enhancing technology with low light mode.

It runs on an Intel Atom processor with HyperThreading technology although the RAM is merely 1GB. Other Zenfone 2 smartphones have at least 2GB of RAM.

Not surprisingly, this one ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop as the operating system with ZenUI customizations on top.

The Asus Zenfone 2E can connect to 4G LTE networks but only has a single SIM card. This isn’t much of an issue in the US though, unlike here in the Philippines.

There’s 8GB of built-in storage, microSD slot for up to 64GB memory cards, USB OTG support and a 2,500mAh battery.

It can be purchased without a contract for $199.99 which is around ₱5,400. Don’t expect this to be available here in the Philippines though.
