SKK Silver Specs, Price and Features - 5.7" Quad Core HD Android Phone

Many of our Facebook friends recommended the new quad core SKK Silver to be featured here on Pinoy Techno Guide.

For those who are not familiar with SKK Mobile, it's a new company that started as a retailer of mobile phone accessories back in 2008. Now, they have a lot of stalls in different malls and shopping centers in the country.

Here's how SKK Silver looks like:

SKK Silver Performance

SKK Silver is fitted with similar specs as those on other quad core phones from other local brands. It has the MediaTek MT6589 chipset with a PowerVR SGX 544MP graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

Most people who've tried testing the SKK Silver in their stalls gave a positive feedback regarding the performance of the device. It even scores 13k on AnTuTu Benchmark test.

Another good thing with SKK Silver is the 8GB internal storage that comes free with the device. You can also expand it up to 32GB using a microSD card.

For the battery, SKK Silver has 2,400 mAh standard Lithium-ion battery. That means battery life is not an issue with this phone.

SKK Silver Display and Camera

SKK Silver has a very large display at 5.7 inches diagonally. It's a high definition IPS panel with a pixel density of 258 PPI. Try it for yourself before buying the unit, you'll be amazed at how well the display looks like.

Although it lacks the protection of Gorilla Glass or Dragontrail, SKK Silver comes with a pre-installed screen protector. Just be careful though, it's still a large display that can easily be damaged if you don't take good care of your device.

There's a 13MP camera with LED flash at the back of SKK Silver that takes good quality pictures in daylight and average shots at night.

For the front camera, a 5MP shooter is present but it doesn't really offer produce good quality pictures or videos.

SKK Silver Connectivity

SKK Silver has two sim slots both with 3G connectivity. You can also connect to EDGE or GPRS if there is no 3G signal in your area.

Of course, SKK Silver has WiFi and can serve as a WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, FM Radio and GPS. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB port and several sensors.

SKK Silver Design, Price and Availability

One thing that turns me off with the SKK Silver is that it is very similar to Samsung Galaxy Note II. The only difference is the placement of the sensors at the front and the lack of the stylus.

However, you might like the similarity if the device performs similarly too. Go ahead and test it for yourself when you go to a mall with an SKK Mobile stall.

SKK Silver is already available nationwide with an SRP of ₱9,999 with a free flip case.
